Orion GreyHeart’s Performance at the WCF Show in Rijeka

On the weekend of February 15-16, 2025, the WCF cat show took place in the beautiful seaside setting of Rijeka, organized by Felis Croatia. The event provided an unforgettable experience for cat lovers, with a stunning venue featuring breathtaking sea views, pleasant early spring sunshine, and professional organization ensuring a fantastic atmosphere.

Brief Introduction to Rijeka

Rijeka is the third-largest city in Croatia and its most important port on the Adriatic Sea. Its history is diverse, spanning from ancient Roman times through Habsburg and Austro-Hungarian rule to modern Croatia. In the 19th century, it was Hungary’s most significant maritime gateway.

Today, Rijeka is an important industrial and cultural center, having earned the title of European Capital of Culture in 2020. While primarily a port city, nearby Opatija and Krk Island attract tourists with their beautiful beaches. Key attractions include Trsat Castle and the historic city center. Rijeka offers a unique blend of history, modern economy, and coastal life.

RIJEKA ITERNATIONAL CAT SHOW GREY HEART CATTERY PRESENTATION

The exhibition

featured many magnificent cats, and the rings were of outstanding quality. GreyHeart Cattery was represented by our own bred Orion GreyHeart, showcasing the Transylvanian breed to the public. This was Orion’s second exhibition, and we eagerly awaited the judges’ evaluations of his development and appearance.

We received excellent

feedback from the judges, who highlighted Orion’s exceptional coat quality, strong contours, and temperament, which truly impressed the experts. Orion captivated not only with his looks but also with his balanced and friendly nature.

On Sunday, the PRINCE FUN show took place,

where Orion competed among the most promising Junior cats. A special highlight of the event was when Tripimir-Frane Sulic, President of the Felis Croatia Club and WCF Vice President, presented an engaging showcase ring, providing detailed information on each participating breed to the audience. The presentation was met with great enthusiasm, and the Transylvanian breed gained significant attention.

Acknowledgments

We would like to express our gratitude to the organizers of the Alphacatum association for the professional management and to the local exhibitors for their hospitality. We also thank the judges for their recognition and the visitors for their interest, which contributed to the special atmosphere of the event.

Orion and the Future

This successful performance has reinforced our belief that Orion Grey Heart will play an important role in promoting our Transylvanian breed. We eagerly look forward to future exhibitions where we can continue to showcase the unique qualities of our breed and our dedication to breeding.
