Word Show in Lugano
In 2025, the GreyHeart team reached another special milestone: we travelled to Lugano, Switzerland, where the prestigious WCF World Show took place, organized by ACEF, the Swiss cat association. The exhibition was not only professionally outstanding, but also one of our most beautiful and memorable events to date.
Lugano is one of Switzerland’s southernmost cities, the center of the Ticino canton, and thanks to its unique geographical location it blends Swiss precision and order with the warmth and Mediterranean atmosphere of Italian culture. The city lies on the picturesque shores of Lake Lugano, surrounded by mountains that provide breathtaking views for all visitors.
Its narrow streets, elegant buildings, lakeside promenades and carefully maintained parks create a special atmosphere. Lugano is an important hub of business, culture, and tourism, yet it offers a peaceful, calm environment for those who want to enjoy Switzerland’s beauty at a slower pace.
ACEF delivered Swiss-level precision: every part of the exhibition was well-planned, smooth, and professional. The friendly organizers, clear communication, accurate schedule, and high-quality execution made the event truly exceptional.
The show location was elegant and spacious, and the visitors were open, curious, and very kind. Many were fascinated by the Transylvanian breed, which even received a separate TV presentation during the event – a great honor and joy for us, showing that the breed attracts genuine professional interest.
Two young Transylvanian girls represented our cattery at the show:

Both participated in the table judging, where the judges welcomed them with great appreciation:
⭐ Both received Excellent 1
⭐ In the Variety ring, Xéna took II place, while Cora achieved IV place
Despite their young age, they behaved confidently and calmly, and it was a joy to see how warmly the visitors received them. Their unique color, characteristic appearance, and affectionate, people-oriented temperament attracted a lot of attention from professionals.
This appearance was another important milestone in increasing international awareness of the breed. At the Swiss event, we received many questions, participated in several professional discussions, and once again it became clear that the Transylvanian breed:
with its distinctive and unique appearance,
exceptionally human-centered personality,
rarity and authentic genetic background
generates strong interest from foreign breeders and exhibitors.
Lugano was not only valuable from a professional standpoint but also emotionally uplifting. A stunning environment, friendly people, beautiful cats, inspiring conversations – everything came together for an unforgettable weekend.
This experience gave us renewed momentum to continue promoting the Transylvanian breed and to showcase the special value represented by this natural-origin, characterful, and truly unique cat to an even wider audience.
