As we shared with you recently, we are delighted to announce that the first kittens of Csapi MIMI GreyHeart and Haruto GreyHeart have been born – and they have now reached 15 weeks of age. This litter is not only another milestone in our breeding program, but also a truly heartwarming experience, as MIMI has become a mother for the very first time – and she is handling this new role wonderfully.
The past weeks have passed calmly and without problems. The kittens are developing beautifully and evenly – their weight, movement, and general condition are in every way appropriate for their age. They are already eating independently – at first, they preferred soft, mashed food, but now they have smoothly transitioned to high-quality dry food and wet meals as well. They are also fully litter-trained, quickly understood the use of their small litter trays and now use them confidently – this will certainly make their integration into a new home much easier.
Their playfulness is boundless. Every new object, scent, or sound is a discovery for them. With tiny paws, they run around, wrestle, chase each other and their toys – even a crumpled piece of paper can keep them busy for minutes. This age is all about curiosity, learning, and the development of social skills, and it’s a joy to watch their personalities unfold. In every movement, there is a spark of discovery and curiosity, and of course, they also need lots of love and attention – which we are more than happy to provide.
We are especially pleased that the kittens get along not only with each other but also very well with other cats. Their first encounters with our adult cats went smoothly, they approached one another with playful curiosity. This shows that the kittens are well-socialized, balanced, and open. During the initial meetings, trust developed quickly between them, and they almost immediately started playing together. This openness and adaptability are especially important to us, as one of the greatest values of the Transylvanian breed is its balanced, human- and animal-friendly nature – traits we consider essential to preserve within the breed.
Naturally, the kittens have received all necessary vaccinations, and their overall health is excellent. They have already completed their primary immunizations, and they are equipped with microchips and EU pet passports. At this point, we have sent the kittens’ genetic samples to the laboratory (their parents have previously undergone full genetic screening, and everything is in order). For kittens intended for breeding, it is important to have their individual results available by the time they move to their new homes.
Weaning in progress
We have also entered an important stage in their upbringing: the weaning process has begun.
This is a natural step at this age, and MIMI is handling the situation brilliantly. The kittens are becoming more and more independent, spending less time with their mother, while their relationships with their siblings and humans are continuing to strengthen. MIMI patiently supports them through this step, but she is already spending noticeably less time with them directly – which is a completely natural part of the gradual end of the maternal role. We also place great emphasis on ensuring that they receive sufficient human contact, as the human-centered behavior is one of the most important traits of the Transylvanian cat.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to monitor their development, and the time will soon come to begin looking for the ideal owners – of course, we only wish to place them in homes where they will continue to receive the same love, care, and quality of life they have become accustomed to here.
💙💙 These kittens represent the GreyHeart Transylvanian bloodline and quality not only in their genetics but also in their personality. For us, this is not merely breeding – it is a vocation, and we live every moment of it with joy.
Thank you for being with us on this journey!
